I am awaiting the day when the travel bans lift and the world will be free from Corona Virus! If you're a travel bug like me then you must be wishing for the same. BUT all this free time we have now could be put towards some future trip planning! I have included my TOP 5 PLACES TO VISIT AFTER QUARANTINE below. All places of unique, individual culture and uncountable things to do! I hope this post will inspire you to get out as well as to help you with future trip plans, wherever your next destination might be. Now is the time to plan. Enjoy!
ICELAND
Iceland was one of the most magical trips I have been on and I am dying to return to Reykjavik to experience it all again but this time in summer! I traveled to Iceland last year in February to Reykjavik Iceland (flights are extremely cheap this time of the year). From the excursion into the green countryside, the Glaciers, to the inner city of Reykjavik renovated shipping yards and markets, Iceland holds many wonders. One of the most incredible things I have ever experienced was the Blue Lagoon. It was such a surreal, magical experience when we dipped into the warm waters at 7 am. Iceland is extremely reasonable to fly to and a layover there should definitely be apart of your next trip.
MADRID
Madrid, which I recently visited in November, and let me tell you in now one of my favorite cities on the planet! The city has such an energetic presence it is like the New York City of Spain. Bustling with life, color, culture, and language, Madrid is a place of immeasurable energy. The beautiful language and vibrancy radiating from every single unique individual there is what brings the streets to life. From the sangria and tapas to the hundreds of art museums, to the green parks, swarming markets, and insane nightlife. Madrid should be your next destination. It is definitely mine!
AMSTERDAM
Amsterdam has always been one of my favorite cities growing up mostly for its free-spiritedness. To this day it has an important place in my heart. Its upbeat, colorful communities, clean, efficient style and constantly changing setting within the cities culture make Amsterdam one mighty, mysterious and opulent city rich in history. Amsterdam is famous for a lot of things: the beautiful historic buildings, the Rijksmuseum, canals, Anne Frank's house, red-light district, and of course the tons of coffee shops that sell cannabis. The long layouts of the lacy canals, flower shops, clothing stores, art, and variety of architecture make the city delightful. The city is packed with pedestrians, bikes, and scooters all trying to get somewhere and is easily accessible by train from anywhere in Europe. Everyone should visit Amsterdam on a trip to Europe.
JAPAN
Incredible fresh sushi and vibrant TOKYO! Need I say more? Japan is on my bucket list of next to travel places in the world, I have only heard good things from loved ones who have traveled there and back. With its reputation for such a distinct culture and unique traditions, the Japanese culture is such an interesting multi-layered and complex system. The culture has been developing for thousands of years and many aspects of the culture developed completely unaffected by outside influences. During your visit to Japan, you are able to learn a lot more about the culture and its history by personally visiting temples, castles, shrines, and more. Tokyo and Kyoto especially is a perfect destination to experience the ancient Japanese culture. As soon as the travel bans lift I will have already planned my trip here!
COPENHAGEN
Copenhagen is known as one of the happiest cities in the world! It is yet another incredibly unique place I have only heard stories about and from researching extensively on "Hygge" (A Danish word used when acknowledging a presentness). "Hygge" is specifically connected to a feeling or moment, whether alone or with friends, ordinary or extraordinary as cozy, charming, or special. "Hygge" is a concept I truly love because many of us do not slow down to appreciate the present moment we are in. Copenhagen is not only one of the style capitals of the world but similar to Japan has its own very distinct and unique Danish culture.
This amazing Nordic country is characterized by its canals, sturdy engineering, architecture, food, fashion, cycling culture, art galleries & museums, castles & palaces, and happy locals. What more could you ask for? Copenhagen is truly one world-class city. Tag onto my bucket list and make Copenhagen one of your next adventures.

Loved being global while we were free to globe trot. Do you have any tips on what to do in the meantime, that is, when we can start socialising in our own countries again?
Can't wait to explore!
